Clinical Manifestations in Different Stages of Chronic Kidney Failure

The clinical manifestations of chronic renal failure

The first stage:renal function compensatory stage:Glomerular filtration rate has decrease to 30-60ML/min, as the glomerular filtration rate of normal guy is 120L/min.During the stage nephron declined about 20%-25%Although renal reserve capacity has lost.but the excretion of the metabolin and the capability of balancing the water ,electrolyte and acid-base is still good. so it has no special performance in clinic. Muscle blood enzyme and blood urea nitrogen alway noemal or mild rise.

The second stage:azotemia stage:Glomerular filtration rate has decrease to 25ML/min,nephron declined 50%-70%,as the disfunction of renal concentration ,nocturia and diuresis appears, varying degrees of anemia, often has azotemia ,CRE and urea nitrogen increase. It may be tired, anorexia, mild uncomfortable all over the body. And so on...During the stage if you neglect to protect the renal function or organism is overburden.it may vomiting seriously, diarrhea, and insufficient of the blood volume, and then the renal function loss quickly and failure.

The third stage:kidney failure (early day of the uremia) Glomerular filtration rate has decrease to 10-15ML/min,nephron declined about 70%-90%,the renal function is damaged seriously cannot keep the metabolism and balance he water, electrolyte and acid-baser.It's impossible to make the environment in the body stable,so that the RE and urea nitrogen increase markedly,Concentration and Dilution of Urine disfunction, acidosis, water natrium retention, low calcium, high phosphorus, high potassium. It may has Anemia obvious and gastro-intestinal symptoms, such as nausea and vomiting, and the neuropsychiatric symptoms like, weak and poor attention.

The fourth stage:uremia Glomerular filtration rate has decrease below 10-15ML/min,nephron declined more than 90%,this the later period of the chronic renal failure, the clinical symptoms said above is more pronounced, much viscera failure all over the body,as the unbalance of the gastrointestinal tract, nervous system, cardiovascular, hemopoietic system, respiratory system ,skin ,and Metabolic System. It may show up as nausea, vomiting, increased blood pressure,be nervous,dyspnea,...coma in linical.During this stage it needs to rely on the dialysis to sustain life.It may cause sudden death frequently by hyperkalemia, encephaledema, pulmonary edema or heart failure.
