Anemia with Polycystic Kidney Disease

An inherited disorder that causes many grape-like clusters of fluid-filled cysts to form in both kidneys over time. These cysts destroy working kidney tissue. PKD may lead to chronic kidney disease (CKD) and end-stage renal disease (ESRD).

Polycystic kidney disease is a congenital genetic disease, most of that is the collection of embryonic tubules and distal convoluted tubule and docking misalignment increases, causing varying degrees of anemia and hypertension increase with age, and even cause renalfailure, often accompanied by multiple capsule of the liver and polycystic spleen. The development outcome of the polycystic kidney disease in two ways: First, the cyst continued to increase, eventually rupture caused by acute abdomen and required emergency surgery. Cyst compression of the renal parenchyma, glomerular necrosis due to ischemia and hypoxia, hardening, leading to renal insufficiency, uremia. The choice of surgical treatment should not be processed because after the wipe out of the larger cysts, small cysts around because of the pressure relief increases rapidly up and repeated surgery, damage to the kidneys to be reckoned with. Polycystic kidney disease is often used in Chinese medicine clinical conservative treatment and therapeutic purposes, through the expansion of the renal vessels, improve renal microcirculation, promote blood circulation, so that the cyst fluid self-absorption, the cysts also will be smaller, and finally until it disappears. Selection of traditional Chinese medicine through the skin penetration treatment method can dispense with the oral stimulation of the gastrointestinal tract and liver damage, because the drugs act directly on the kidneys, the local drug concentration and energy better to play efficacy, can speed up the absorption of cyst fluid.
